I had an issue with the Tru Glo TFO's: had them installed by the gunshop, first time out shooting the gun and 7 rounds into the second clip one of the rear tubes came out and whizzed by my head
The gun shop slapped another rear on and it's been rock solid ever since, didn't charge me either which I was glad. I'm not blaming the TFO's for the problem, it could have been a defective tube from the factory (no matter how hard you try you're gonna get some parts that pass inspection but still fail in the real world). It could have been cracked during the install (again I say could have, there is no way to prove that it did or did not). The second set has been through many hundred rounds and is still fine. Just one of those things.

its a tritium vial in the back and then the fiber optic butts up against it. During the day the fiber gathers light from above, at night, the light is transfered through the fiber from the tritium. Im willing to bet that the fiber could easily be switched out. The tritium vial is sealed.

My TruGLO TFOs have held up pretty well to carrying and range use.

You sure about that? I had some safety concerns with the fibers possibly ever breaking and I want to make sure tritium gas doesn't get in my face if the fibers happen to wizz on by.

I found this from the Trijicon MSDS. I don't think there's anything to do or worry about the radiation level is so inconsequential. I sold laboratory products to hospital labs with low levels of radiation in the 1980s, after sterilizing they could legally pour it down the drain.
