I'm done using SWC in my XD45!
I just cannot get my XD45 tactical to feed the various OAL I was testing with the 200gr. SWC. From now on I will only shoot 230gr. LRN in the XD45 and 200gr. SWC in the 1911.

Since the test batch I got wasn't reloaded by me, I couldn't adjust the OAL, but did you try turning in the taper a bit more on your factory crimp die? Do you use a factory crimp die?
The test batch wouldn't feed good (about every 4th or 5th jammed) until I put a little more taper on them. I just finished casting a few hundred of them so maybe my positive tests will be out the window once I get them reloaded but we'll see.

The Lee FCD did nothing for me either, but I still use it with the 200SWC for my 1911's - no problem there, only with the XD.
I've since started loading 230 Truncated Cone lead bullets for the XD and have had no problem with those at all...

Hummm, there are still a few who DO have the crimp die and it still doesn't work? I wonder if the model of XD45 makes a difference. I know my Tactical looks like it has a polished feed ramp from the factory. Does that have something to do with it maybe?
--------------------- Edit... OOPS... read some of the taglines. Seems a mix of Service, Tactical and Compact. Some do and some don't so I guess it's not model specific. This is weird. Hey guys, when you opened up the case for the first time, did your feed ramp look all shiny like chrome? I only seen my own brand spanking new so just wondering. I know a lot of us would like to really know why some do and some don't. I also wonder if maybe it's because of the double stack mags. My buddy (the same one who gave me the test batch of reloads that I taper crimped) gave me a box of cast bullets because they won't feed in his Para Hi-Cap. But they do feed in his single stack Colt and my Springfield as well.

First the feed ramp is not polished on XDs out of the box.
The problem with SWC is the bullets design, the large flat nose. This is really over simplfied but I'l try to explain. After a round is fired as the slide moves back on a horizontal plane it pulls the spent case from the chamber. In addition the barrel unlocks and tilts down in the rear to aid in loading the next round from the magazine. When the spent case clears the firing chamber the extractor opens up releasing the case. At the slides furthest rear travel the top bullet in the magazine is allowed to rise under pressure from the magazine spring. As the slide starts moving forward it applies horizontal and strip the new round from the mag. At some point in forward movement the nose of the bullet makes contact with the feed ramp and begins to angle towards the firing chamber. SWC being flat nose resist angling upward much more than round nosed. The cartridge is still having pressure applied along the horizontal by the slide forward movement so the bullet becomes cross way to the chamber until it makes contact with the taper where it will be forced down toward the chamber opening. While all this is going on the rear of the barrel is trying to tilt back horizontal. Making everthing work together smoothly is not an easy thing and there are many variables. In some guns/bullet combinations the variables are to much. Just use RN bullets it's a lot easier. Can't tell I'm an old retired Engineer can ya?

At some point I will try the 200gr. RNFP in my XD45, but I've just order 6k rd. of bullets and 2 Springer drop in trigger kit.
