I ordered a compact today...
...at SGC, got home and put my XD40sc up for sale and now have it sold pending funds. I basically traded up for $50.
Glad to finally be a .45er.

Let us know how you like it. I bought a Service a couple weeks ago, ran 300 rounds through it now, not a glitch. As accurate as I can be too.
I haven't shot or owned any other XD's. I love mine.

Congrats, Packerman. I've been considering trading my regular Service 45 for the compact version (easier to CCW).

I also just bought an XD45 Compact, fired 50rds of ball and 50rds of HP thru it and I'm very happy with the looks, feel, accuracy and reliability of the XD, then the next day had Meprolights night sights installed and also bought 2 extra 13rd mags with sleeves.I'm in the market for a leather holster now.

The compact is great...I love the choice between service and compact grip. If you should choose down the road to get a tactical, get a full-sized as the slides/frames are interchangeable...you'll have a service and a tactical and compact versions of both as well.

Congrats and enjoy! Wished they had the Compact out when I bought my XD45. Procrastination sometime pays.
