i've had trouble, Yes, sorry....although i believe it's a magazine issue. One mag typically doesn't feed the first bullet - i'm still trying to investigate why it's just the one mag. and why it only happens when it has the max amount of ammo in it....

Just one mag? I'd contact Springfield. They should send you a replacement for it if the others feed your XD properly. Like with all manufactured things, once in a while a bad one gets by but sounds like nothing Springfield can't take care of for you.

Trouble free so far. The more I shoot it the better I like it. My shooting has improved thanks to the help I got here, so if you have any questions be sure to ask.

FYI for fellow "newbies...went down to the local gun range and found out some interesting things from the guys that work there. We inspected my 2 mags and found that one mag had one of the feed lips bent in somewhat as jeepinbanditrider had suggested.
One of the guys worked on it and bent it back in perfectly. Went right back to my lane and started shooting up the rest aof my ammo when all of the sudden my XD started jamming all over again - no matter which mag!!! Fortunately one of the local experts was available and pointed out that the problem was the Blazer Brass that i was using (yes i saw the note on how cheap it was at Walmart and bought a bunch of it)...he pointed out how much closer the bullet was seated in the cartridege which maked it shorter that the other (normal) rounds thus creating a feeding problem. i never noticed this but sure enough every time the XD got hung up with a round it was with one of those substandard bullets. Lesson for me is check your ammo when pulling it out of the box or even when buying it at the counter. |

Sorry you had a problem with the Blazer Brass. I've run over 2,000 rounds of it through mine without a hitch.

Had one for six months with ZERO problems. 500+ rounds and no misfeeds, including hollow points.
