So with all the new members joining and new info added because of these new members...the search function will answer every question. No new info can be added.

Ignorance is bliss.

About 1500 rounds comprising six different manufacturers, and it eats everything with no complaints. The only time I've ever had a problem was two FTF's when my brother was shooting it, but he was a noob at the time and I think limp-wristed it.

None so far with me and my XD45 - same as my Glocks in that area. XDs are very reliable overall from what I have seen, read and heard.

At 500 rds, and approximately an equal amount of dry firing I had two failures:

1.) Failure of the Retainer Pin (Rolling Pin): Apparently sheared the bottom off, seizure of the entire weapon. The firing pin was fully impinged on the dummy round, could not rock the slide back to clear the chamber of a dummy round and ultimately sent in and got it squared away at Springfield Armory, at no charge to me, outstanding service.

NOTE: The dummy round wasn't sufficient in protecting the firing pin and other mechanisms, I've have, since the failure, switched to snap caps.

2.) Failure to Feed: Wolf ammo was having tolerance issues with the magazine, symptoms were reminiscent of limp/weak magazine spring. Fix was to wipe off the coating on the Wolf's casings. The experience has been on and off, some batches of Wolf I've had no problems, others do. Otherwise everything from Winchester's WB, Blazer Brass, Hornady, Remington UMC, Federal HST, Speer Gold Dots, Taurus Hex Copper Bullet and reloads have shoot just fine.

After getting the gun back from SA a few days ago, I've put through over 500 rounds, and is solidly performing (half Blazer, half Wolf). The only issue now is with the Black T finish, the finish has such a small drag coefficient/viscosity, that it at times can be so slick to rock back that one has to use an awkward firm grip to seed in a round or to clear the chamber; this is especially true when shooting in the rain. But you shouldn't be experiencing that problem as its unique to those that have a Black T finish.

XD45 Service, 500-600 rounds, No problems! I clean the barrel with a bore snake after every firing and a complete field strip and cleaning about every two months.
