Jamming?
Today i was consistently getting a jam which seemed to only happen with one magazine? i have a 5" tactical, when i pulled the slide back it was always the first bullet from the mag that would get hung up?? i changed bullets several times, after i dropped the mag, cleard the slide then reloaded. One thing i noticed was that if there was only 12 bullets in the mag it wouldn't jam. And like i said there was not a problem with this happening with the other mag that was maxed out w/ 13? Any thoughts on this?

Magazine problem. compare your two mags the "bad" one to the good one and look at feed lips the front portion of the magazine anything that may look out of place on the "bad" magazine. Take them part and do a comparison there also. Look and feel inside the "bad" mag and see if there are any burrs or anything like that.
Are you "riding" the slide home or are you letting it go under it's own power?

At first i thought that it was me doing what you're suggesting (riding) - so thats why i kept reloading and trying different things. i just can't figure why the difference in the 12 vs 13 bullets except that there is more pressure with the magazine with more bullets in it. i'll take a look at them tonight and compare them like your suggesting. Thanks!

I think that with the 13th round in the bad mag, extra pressure from being stuffed full and the feed lips damaged, allow the round to tip up too far and it doesnt feed correctly.
