Ah......no offense meant, but unless you know you are getting a huge deal at GANDER, don't buy from them. You want to head out to Kernersville. Go west young man...........from Greensboro take 40 West..........to the split, take the split to the right, Business 52. You will go straight, then the road will curve, you need to be in the right lane in the curve, it is the next exit. That will be ROUTE 66, you want to go SOUTH. Go right at the light at the exit, that will be SOUTH. Pass the car dealership on the right, the waffle house, and the EXXON. As soon as you pass the EXXON it is the next shopping center on the right, they are in there. Between the deli and the dog place.

The place is called THE GUN RACK. I buy just about all my stuff from him. I wish he had a rewards card!!

Bill and his staff are the greatest folks to deal with. Very knowlegeable, not like at Gander. Last time I went to Gander, I wanted to duck at the way the counter help was waving the guns around. Further, I had to step in and tell the consumer, whom I had met briefly, that the counter person was incorrect in what they told them, very much so. Although, you might get some dumb and dumber behind the counter who is selling the wrong gun for the right price. That does happen. I have seen it. Clowns.

The place is called THE GUN RACK. They are closed Mondays and Sundays. And will quote you a price over the phone. I have bought three from him and I do buy all of my ammo from him too. Last I checked, it was 6 and change for a box of nine's if you buy a case, 7 something per individual box.

He is also very fair concering gun sales, gun purchases and the like. He will give you the best deal by far in this area. Trust me.

Last I checked, a .45 C ACP from him was just under 450. Prices may have gone up. Just call them. It is worth the dial tone.

Thanks a lot! I definitely was hoping to find a different place but didn't know where to look. I will give them a call tomorrow. Gander is just close and convenient but their prices do seem to be extremely high and they aren't always the friendliest.

Go out to Route 66 off of Business 52 and go SOUTH. Just past the Exxon on the right, turn into that little shopping center on the right, and go to the GUN RACK.

No problem!! You are quite welcome.

Now, if you are looking for a place to shoot indoors, you cannot beat Calibers on W. Market either. Family run range. They are great folks to deal with. I can say that they are straight up, and take safety very seriously. That's where we go. I will tell you this though, buy your ammo over at the gun rack. His prices are naturally going to be less, even if it is per box. Calibers also offers CCW class if you are interested in such a thing.

Oh yeah, he has a website. I think it is Calibers.net it is usually up and running.

here in AR I found an XD for $449.00. It was two hours from my home.

I ended up paying $489 at a local sports store. that is an excellent price.

I am actually a member at Calibers and am currently taking the CCW class there. I really enjoy the guys that work there. Maybe I'll see ya over there sometime.

Thanks for all the replies! So far that is the best price in the area. Around here we can typically get some pretty good prices. I bought my M&Ps for considerably cheaper then others were paying at the time. I have 3 weeks to make up my mind and possibly trade in the meantime. I appreciate all the comments.
