if you take care of your gun it wont rust i polished all of my barrels on my handguns pretty much except for my colecters and i have had zore rust. justy keep a thin coat of oil or grease on it

I have small rust spots on my XD-45 Services slide with the Melonite treatment but my Glock23 has no signs of any rust on it's slide it has the Tennifer treatment. IMHO the Glock is much better protected against rust and wear. Just my thoughts other may and will differ.
