Well I have a meeting with the local gun board next week. All first timers have to do this. Any Ideas on what they might ask?

no idea i didn't have to go i live in wayne county. It just took 2 1/2 months to get the permit, a friend of mine has been waiting nearly 4 months. good luck

Ottawa county here and I waited 3 weeks. Only a 5 min meeting so it can not be much

My original in Wayne county in 2001 was 10 1/2 months, the renewal was 88 days. I do not have to go to the meetings in this county, but you can look here, http://www.migunowners.org/forum/index.php?? This is a MI gun site. Your question has been asked many times, just do a search.
