I'm glad you fell in love with the XD. Me, too. I'm a bonafide 1911 lover but I tried an XD9 and shot my buddy's XD40 a lot so went with what I know and reload being the XD45. Just came on the door so I can't wait to get her to the range and try her out. Not looking forward to shooting a new gun. Always wondering if they are going to jam or do something weird until they get some wear on them. But the XD's of other owners here seem to be great the first time out, so....
Take it out of the box and give it a good cleaning before you head to the range and you shouldn't have any trouble. I have not experienced a failure yet with my XD45 compact while feeding Blazer Brass, WWB, or Speer GoldDots.

You will love your gun! I bought mine on the 21st and had to wait until the 25th to pick it up. I just got my CPL today, and took her out with me. It will take a while to get use to.

I also was looking for an OD .45 but I ended up getting my hands on a .45 ACP service in Flat Dark Earth. I love it!

Thumbs up

Well I got it today.....

I can't quit messing with it....

I am going to shoot it Saturday...

So far I like it A LOT!

Main Pros and Cons...

Pro:
Grip
trigger
ease of take down

Con:
finish seems sub par compared to my glocks
I don't like metal mags(personal pref.)
3 dot sights seem sub par even to my sigma

Over all I like this gun and will probalby get the little one when I move to MO so I can ccw.

I feel like I am cheating on Gaston....
