Is this normal? (Primer Indentations)

I was cleaning up my brass and noticed that the primers had some strange indentations on them. I was shooting an XD 45 compact using CCI blazer brass ammo. The gun probably only has about 350 rounds through it. I am not sure if this is a normal indentation or not. I have never really paid much attention to the primers before, I usually just sweep the brass up and dump it in the bucket at the range.

Normal. The case is ejecting before the pin has fully retracted. Widely reported in varying degrees and I've never read anybody saying it is associated with any problems.

Primer smear is normal with a striker fired pistol. The striker has enough inertia that it can stay in contact with the primer as the shell starts to eject. It is good that you noticed, but no worries!

Tiny space aliens have inhabited your firing pin and are pushing it out during ejection in a specific pattern, attempting communication. This makes you the earth's ambassador to aliens, a very important and powerful position.

Please don't blow it, this could change the course of mankind.

Save each shell in sequence after firing, place them primer-up in a loading block and analyze the smears (orienting them all the same). It might take a while and please DON'T TELL ANYONE ELSE because the messege they bring to you might not be peaceful.

Are they lost and attempting to escape to avoid violating the Prime Directive?
Are they preparing an invasion of earth?
Could you be an unwitting participant?

Let's hope it goes well, the future of our society (MAN) is at stake here.

Also, has anyone seen my meds?

Gentlemen, if I could have your attention please: I need you to look right at this little gizmo here......*puts on sunglasses*

*flash*

Thank you. There are no space aliens in your firing pin channel--it's just striker pin smear. You're now going to go down to your favorite gun store and spend an amount of money acceptable to your spouse on whatever catches your eye. As long as it's not a Glock, because, well.....dayum.
