Dress Up
I thought about the crayon idea a couple of you guys had on here for detailing...you XD's....but ...I think I found the sweet and easy way to do it. I went up to Autozone and got some of the High Heat Spray Paint for like engine blocks and valve covers. Says up to 1000 degrees...so I get home shoot some in a plastic cup...at first I tried to use a toothpick and lay it in the lettering to no avail...so I used a Q-tip and caked it on over the lettering....let it dry about 5 minutes and took some old Hoppes #9 and dabbed a cloth rubbed the excess off with just a couple of passes and BAM...nice looking weapon!! I mean it looks like it was made that way. I used bright green...like Mopar green. I like blue but I don't think it would show up very well. Anyway...I know we love pics on here so gimmee a day or 2 and I will post them. But this has to be the best way to show that lettering.

What kind of camera are you using? Does it have a Macro or Close Up setting (usually will say Macro, or be symbolized by a flower)?
A couple of other tricks for getting a better shot. Stand a bit away from it (4 or 5 feet) and zoom in. Most cameras have a 2-3 foot minimum focal range. Also, nearly all digital cameras have a partial depression focus feature. Push the button part-way, it'll adjust focus, then snap the picture. Also, if you have a way to steady the camera (tripod is best, be even just setting it on the table) it will help tremdiously. Otherwise, from what I can see, the gun looks really good.
