it's not the kydex it's the repeated drawing and holstering that wears the finish. My Kimber that i carry every day actually has more wear on the leather side of my super tucker than on the kydex side....it has no wear on the kydex side but the non-ambi safety on the leather side is down to metal on the high points and there's a spot of wear on the butt of the pistol....

I have a Galco Tumb Break Scabbard for my xd, i don't see it on their page so they may have discontinued it. I carry my kimber in either a super tucker or a pocket holster or a shoulder holster if it's jacket weather. I have 2 revolvers I carry in pocket holsters but I am thinking about trying an ankle holster

I'm currently using a Supertuck, but I have another holster being made for me by a local guy. The supertuck works well, but for long periods sitting, it doesn't ride properly on me. Also, IMO, it doesn't offer enough forward can't for someone who spends a lot of time riding a desk or driving like I do.

I just rcd a CompTac Kydex and really like it. There is plenty of support for the 2lb 5oz loaded 45C. Also ordered a crossbread but it's a 9 week wait!

The reholstering isn't an issue unless you are a LEO and need to reholster with one hand...IMHO.

I have a High Noon Hidden Ally. It's Glove Leather (soft) and is perfect for summer wear.
If you can tolerate a little more bulk, and want the stiffness, the High Noon Hidden Impact in Horsehide might be the ticket.

Hume Open Top OWB

For my 5" Tactical .45ACP I bought - through PistolGear - a Hume Open Top (Product ID 32DHC) OWB. What I received was a holster fitted and marked for a Tactical XD .40S&W. But my .45 fits snugly into it, rides close-in (I am chubby), and will not drop out. It is still fairly new, and it still takes a bit of effort to draw. At this point two-handed re-holstering is also the norm. But I am pleased with it - esp. for $44 + shipping.
