I like it. It is very clean and simple. I may make one for myself similar to it. Does it have a sight channel built in so the front gunsite doesn't snag on the leather?

I especially like the mag holder. That is definitely a winner... a lot better than the freebie V mag holder which is humongous and totally impractical for concealed carry. The mag holder makes it look almost like a little pocketknife! Waycool.

I am thinking about making a holster inline with my belt that can be positioned right under my kidney to the right of the center of my back. That keeps my spine safe and gets the gun print off my hip. I may have to cant it slightly to help keep it encased. That's a project I plan to work on one of these days. I have a long SigTac vest that will easily cover the gun and gives great access to it through slits in the side of the vest.

I'm gonna sew some biker patches into the vest and it will magically cease looking like a shooter's vest and start looking like an ordinary biker's vest with patches over the pockets and adorning every other part of the vest. If you can't baffle them with brilliance, dazzle them with bullsh*t!! LOL!

I like leather. I have a Kydex paddle holster which is nice but very sterile... no soul to it whatsoever. Techno-holster. I want something that mellows with age... just like I have been doing!

Actually, it is very soft leather and formed almost instantly to the pistol.

It works very nicely and I hardly notice I have it on when I am carrying.

The soft leather works against you abit when reholstering. You might want to look into an IWB holster. harder leather w/ a steel/plastic reinf. strip around the opeing. Most are made to fit the pistol exactly. Just about ever decent holster manuf. makes one.

galco makes a iwb for the 9/40/357 service but ifter a little streaching my 45 service will fit into it no problem its leather and was only $20 new. great holster allthough i dont think its the holster but a full size gun isnt fun to conceal the only place i can keep it is about the 4-5 o'clock position and still be able to sit with out getting a gun barrel in my junk. (haveing a loaded gun about 2 inches away from the twig and berrys and pointing right at them isnt the greatest feeling)

What is the Don Hume catalog number on that IWB Clip holster? I have a gift certificate from them, but their catalog doesn't show anything like that holster.

I emailed Don Hume the photo and they said it was their suede H715. It isn't in the catalog but they acted like it would be not problem getting me one.

Exactly, I had some email me about that same thing. I purchased this one on eBay and they are now out of it. I did hear that Don Hume will make them on request.

Hello,

This is exactly what I am looking for! Where do I get it? I even tried the Don Hume website www.donhume.com and I did not see it.

Thanks

Check-Six

I found a great deal on a Blackhawk Check-Six holster yesterday so I ordered it.

OpticsPlanet.com
Blackhawk Leather Check-Six Holster $41.99
Shipping INCLUDED

They are sold out right now but they said they will have stock in a week or two. That is fine with me.

I like this style of holster. Its radical cant allows me to slip it behind my hip but not in the small of my back. I hide the weapon behind the hip and avoid the problems associated with SOB and MOB holsters like possible spinal injury. It is not hard to draw the weapon from behind the hip and it is very concealable in that position. Put a SigTac vest on and the darn gun is invisible but incredibly easy for me to get at through the SigTac's side slit.

I may create a thumb break and sew it on the Check-Six depending on just how firmly it grips the gun. We'll see. But I am looking forward to getting leather on my bod instead of Kydex which is just not my favorite substance. Of course I did order three sheets of raw Kydex 101 in different thicknesses to test our what the heck I can make out of that stuff. It sure makes great knife sheaths!
