I paid $560 for my .45ACP Tactical in black a year ago in western WA state.
The service and sub compact 9mm and .40's are selling for $499 here now, the tacticals are impossible to keep in stock. IMPOSSIBLE.

http://www.whittakerguns.com/ has the .45 tactical for $488.00 + $20.00 shipping. its even cheaper for smaller calibers..Thats not bad at all...

Her in Southern Kalifornia the XD-45 Tactical goes for $579. I got $ 60 off when my local shop, (Fowlers Gun Room in Orange) had Springfield days. I got it for $519. I bought a black one. I have put 2K rounds thru it since last Fall. It is the pistol that goes to the range with me every weekend.

Here in my part of Southern California I paid $590.00 for my XD 45 tactical. That isn't counting the fees (sales tax and background check). In total I paid $657.00 for the gun.

A couple of weeks earlier the tactical was at $560.00 but the price went up $30.00 by the time I went to buy one.

My Dad just picked up a NIB XD-45 service for 499 + tax today at a gun show...Now if we can just get Mom into shooting...

A local shop near Harrisburg, PA, which is known to be overpriced, is asking $565 for one. That's the same price as the service models.
