Has anyone done a 40 conversion yet?

There was talk about this a while ago, but I haven't seen anything recently....

i havent seen a 40 yet altho ive heard todd jarrett has a proto type.

Dimensionally the rounds are too far apart. I'm pretty sure the factory will come out with the .40 on the .45 sized frame. Hopefully it is sooner than later.

Can't be any worse than glock.
I've been asking for a compact 45acp with a glock 19 lenth grip since they came out with the G 21. The grip on the 30 is too short for my tastes.

Considering the fact that this conversion would require a completely new upper assembly and new mags that will not interchange with a current XD40, I would say that it is not going to happen....ever. The uppers off a current XD40 may work fine on a XD45 frame. But the mags would have to be XD45 frame only, would be more expensive to make than a normal XD40 mag, and nobody would want to pay twice as much for them. If you want a high capacity XD40, get an XD40 and some +2 extensions.
