New MGW sight tool for XD's

Was wondering if anyone had any experience with the new MGW sight pusher for the XD's.

Thanks

and here is another.

The long awaited sight tool for XD's

I bought one of these to install my set of TruGlo TFO sights.
The MGW works to get these tight stock XD sights out.
It doesn't work very well to install the TFO's.
I suppose it would work to install other sights that are of close size
to the stock sights.
All in all, it is better for removing than beating them out with a hammer
and punch.

MGW makes two different styles for Glocks. Maybe they'll over another style for XDs that'll accommodate more sight designs, such as the TFO sights.

And I'm sure new sight installation is easier than stock sight removal?

Gunzzi,

I was able to hold the MGW by hand when I installed your front sight.
Had to have yours, and mine in the vice to get the stockers out.
Your rear sight tapped in easy compared to mine. You should have no problems making any windage adjustments when you get a chance to sight it in. When you get em where you want em, put a few drops of blue loctite in the set screw hole and let it seep in. Wipe off any that runs out from under the sight, put a dab on the set screw and tighten her down.

Yeah, I was going to do that, thanks for the tip. As we all know, getting the stock sights out is the B*#CH of it all...

Sonavab_tch! I thought I was doing something wrong, come to find out this is common when removing stock sights.

Well, I got the tool in mail today. Took a whole 2 days to get here, great job Top Gun, very fast service. A+++++++++

Looked it over for a few, clean it with some dry solvent to get the shipping preservative off it then oiled it up.

Threw the thing up on the work bench and used a 5 in. "C" clamp to hold down nice and tight.

Got a nice size wrench to use as leverage and started with the rear sights
cranked it a couple turns then a heard a small crack, success she broke loose, did the same with the front and in 30 min. my new sights were ready.

If you plan on using this tool with the Trijicon SG01 sights, I highly recommend it
