i've heard they're going to release one, but i think i'd like the kahr better. it's thinner and smaller and gives you a more concealable package. i'm wondering what the recoil will be like in the PM45 vs. the PM9...

jtkratzer, I wish you'd share where you heard that. I was about to reply as follows:

The short answer is "No". The long answer is "We all wish the answer was yes, but the answer is no, and it's been discussed every week or so. And like I said, don't feel alone, we all wish the answer was yes."

I wouldn't hold my breath. We can't even get a 45acp compact in a Bi-Tone finish, what makes you think they would spend the time to design a new gun?

I would want an XD45 subcompact to be a single stack to make it thinner ala Glock 36. But the G36 is a bit short to handle well with .45 recoil and 2 fingers so, IMO, it works best with the "add-a-round" mag extension. If S-A made a sub XD45 with this type/length of mag as factory issue and perhaps a flush mag for super concealment, if not optimal handling, I would think that would be terrific. Of course a nice bevel/melt carry treatment would be preferred as well.
