Can't think of any cons. Well, yeah, it's expensive to feed.

The only cons I can think of are 1.) ammo cost and 2.) How mad my wife was when she found out I bought it.

I suppose I could reluctantly go w/ ammo prices as a con, too. BUT, you won't catch me selling mine - I love it !!! I'm positive I'd long regret it.

As of yet I haven't found any real "cons" to the XD. There's the obious for a .45... the ammo cost. But that's not a con to the gun.

Con to the service.... not as concealable as my XD 45 Compact? That's about all I can think of. I carry my XD 45 Compact every day and shoot it as much as I can afford to. It's a great gun and I haven't found anything negative about it yet.

I'm just trying to decide if I want to get a XD Sub Compact now for summer carry.

My major gripe is the fact that I have to clean it so often...

cause every time I clean it I get excited and want to go shoot it again =X

No honestly though, the aftermarket for Duty Holsters... but that's turning around right now.

I'll give you some honest cons:
1. It's made in Croatia - wierd ass name for a country and where in the hell is it anyway?
2. You can't pimp out an XD - spinners look like crap on it.
3. Mag size for the .45 only goes to 13, they don't sell 100 round mags.
4. The safety system is hard as hell to explain to others who prefer a hammer block and other antique goofy technology.
5. The predominant color of the .45 is black. I'm wondering if Jesse Jackson receives a kickback.
6. The sub compact in .45 is still bigger than my .380 Walther PPK/S.
7. Did I mention you can't buy 100 round mags for the .45?
8. Typing all these problems with the XD has worn me out and increased my need for sustainance. That's another cost I will attribute to the XD.

Hope this helps.
