Separating USA Trigger completely
I'm doing some customization to my XD45 Compact. This includes a color job to some of the small parts such as frame pins, mag & slide release, etc.
I want to color part of the trigger as well. Any advice on separating the USA trigger safety from the actual trigger? I see that there is a small pin that connects the two, and there is a small dimple on each side of the pin. I'd like to know what I'm doing before I tear it all to hell, (since I can't buy aftermarket parts Anyone who has separated them succesfully please chime in, much appreciation. |

i used a small nail to push the pin that holds the safety to the trigger. thats all it took. just be careful because there is a little spring inside. ill post pics just pm if you have trouble.

Yeah, the video I had said the pin could be pushed out, but they didn't demonstrate it and I was worried that pin would shoot off somehere. Afraid I wouldn't know which direction it went back in. Another reason I WISH springfield would sell aftermarket parts, Grrrr!
