So in the end I will be out $525 bucks & have a new XD45c with 2 10rd & 2 13rd magazines. Which seems good, compared to what I have seen others pay. |

OMFG I finally got it!!
After a month of waiting i finally got it (sorry im excited!) lol Funny thing, when i went to gander and told them i had it waiting under my name, they pulled it out.. filled out the paperwork.. and opened up the case, and it wasnt a compact, the guy had to start all over :\ but thats okay.. because i got what i wanted. Anyways, a few things i've noticed is this gun is so tight.. the slight is pretty hard to pull back vs. my friends glock and the other XD's i've played with. I'm guessing it will wear in? Other than that im super excited to get to the range.. which wont be til sunday tho Anyways heres a few quick pics ![]()

it looks just like mine, that's funny.
clean it before you shoot it, that will help with the slide, and it will get a little easier. don't oil it too much. here's a video on disassembly, made by a fellow member here. your field strip will be identical to the XD40 sub compact, it has a captive spring and guide rod, meaning the spring and the guide rod aren't sepearte parts like the tactical model. go get shooting already. EDIT: wrong link, correct posted below. Last edited by jtkratzer; 05-17-2007 at 09:44 PM. |

Thanks for that link Jkratzer, i was wondering how to field strip it becuase it didnt come with a manual (other than, how to reload, shoot, and etc the gun.. like i dont know that already lol)
I'm hoping to get shooting tomorrow after work.. because tomorrow will be the only nice day for the next week or so.. |

I love my XD45C. I bought an $800.00 Kimber a few weeks ago that has been back to New York once already and still doesn't work right. I am now in the process of trying to debug the POS myself and get it in some kind of condition that resembles reliability.
Meanwhile, my XD which cost half as much, runs like a Swiss watch. It never misses a beat, is totally reliable and just as accurate. It spends it's time riding snug on my hip while that other thing is locked securely in it's case in the bottom of the safe where it can't contaminate my good guns. |
