263 for what? M9s. If so that is to much for that piece of crap. May be a good civie weapon but for an issue gun I don't like them

Not to hijack but I was always under the impression that the U.S. never accepted the Hague Convention.

The convention rules only apply when two govts. that signed it are at war with each other. It also dosen't apply if you are fighting non-uniformed members of an army. I.E. insurgents.

However as usuall the US is the only ones that follow the rules even when they don't apply.

Alright I'll start from the top on this one.

Most of the guys that I know that have them in the Civie world like them and don't have problems with them.

Our issue guns are just so beat to hell that there are going to be problems.

My issues with the firearm:

Grip size- You should be able to fit way more than 15 rounds in a grip that big. It also makes it hard to get a good squeeze on the trigger during a DA trigger pull, I have to reset my grip halfway though the pull. If you have large hands this may not be a big problem.

Weight-For a 9mm pistol it just weighs too damn much. They could cut the weight of the pistol down if they tried.

The ergos of the pistol don't work for me either. If you reach up to rack the slide quickly you grab a hold of the safety which doesn't offer the best grip on the slide.

I haven't found any people around here that like the M9. That has a lot to due with our issue guns though.

The only threat that we MAY need to use them against is the Chinese and if it ever comes to that they will have us beat with sheer numbers.
I disagree............in fact, unless it went nuclear, they wouldn't even come close. They still fly planes from WWII, and their Navy is capable of little more than coastal patrols. As for the # of people...........well, we can make bullets faster than they can make people, and that about settles that.

I'd like to see documentation supporting this statement. Not that I disbelieve you but because I think it would be fascinating to see for myself.

It's kind of pathetic to be honest......but they're trying to modernise.

I got out before the 9 came in, and that was one of the few happy things about leaving the service. The .45's where in rough shape, but always worked and I trusted the load. I hope they smarten up, but you are probably right that it is a side issue (unless they expect something big and something hot, soon.) (like they would tell us

As for China, I don't think we have anything to worry about... here. Europe had better get Jesus. Russia and China are back in the game and suggesting "Meat is back on the menu, boys.". Tawaiin will probably be fed to the wolves for sure, maybe the whole of Europe if the twin towers act in unison. Meh, it could happen.
