How you can use the XDgear holster
I've called to get my lefty holster from SA. I know it's junk but hey, it's free so why not get it.
In the mean time I was thinking how I can use the right handed one. I found that if I put the holster on the left side between my belt and my pants the gun conceals pretty good because the belt being on the outside of the holster it keeps the holster tight against my side instead of hanging out like it would if it was outside the belt on the right side. In a way it acts like an IWB and keeps the gun pinned to my side. If you are a righty and you like this idea you could call SA and get a free lefty holster and use it the same as I did but on the right side. All this is temperary until I decide what holster I want to buy. This will work in the mean time. |

I totally agree with you. That is the same way I would wear my holster that came with the Xd.45. I recently got the free left handed paddle holster from springfield and found that the right handed one concealed much better when worn the way you suggested.

Mine is doing an excellent job filling a hole in the foam in the case.
I've heard of people figuring out ways to mount them in vehicles or to furniture (like a bed frame) for easy retrieval in the event the pistola's needed.

i'd like to see how to mount one underneath my night stand. Maybe some 2 ton epoxy would hold it nice and secure

If you have the XD-45 call Springfield. They'll send you a free LH paddle holster.

I have two XD's so I got two lefty paddles
I thought the holster sucked.......until I lined the paddle with Dr Scholls moleskin. Now it's a nice comfortable holster. I can wear it all day long. ZM |

This is interesting--the holster that came with my XD is a cheapo little belt-mount, not a paddle. I guess the XD Gear varies from gun to gun.
