Not sure where he's from, but it's 10 rounds here in NY too. Nothing over 10 rounds due to the NY version of the assault weapons bam. But, it gives me an excuse to stock up on a couple more magazines.

Thanks for the welcome! I went with the more colorful title than the usual. We here in the People Republic of Kalifornia are limited with what we can get unlike the free states.
I'm very happy overall with the XD45 Service 4". I'm sure that the XD45 (like all of my firearms) is more accurate than I am. I might consider getting a trigger job on it, just for the heck of it, after putting a lot more rounds in it. I'm not sure for you other XD owners, both of the mgazines that I used have a single deep gouge on it on top of the twin scratches from the magazine catch. No need or reason for the pistol to artifically shorten the magazine life. Looking forward in putting more range time with the XD45. |

First, let me kindly correct you.. There is no "SUBCOMPACT" or "SC" in .45ACP.. There *IS* however a "compact" version... (there is a difference). Second, for the original poster, my XD45compact took some time to learn to control. It takes a little while to control the trigger slap and such, by your target you're doing the same as 90% of us did, low left on fire. The usual cause of this is pushing the trigger as you pull (if your right handed). Focus on squeezing the trigger STRAIGHT BACK instead of pulling/pushing the trigger. Lastly, as far as the 10 round magazine, I practice w/ 10 rounds in my 13 round mag since my carry mag is limited to 10 rounds. Get use to the number of carry rounds.
