I like the feel of the XD trigger better BUT the reset on the Glock trigger is much better.

for fast shooting, I prefer the glock's much shorter trigger travel and reset, but the XD is very smoooooooth..

I can't believe anyone would even think there's a comparison. The Glock has a semi double action, the trigger does part of the cocking on every shot. The XD is a single action, the trigger only has to move the striker block and sear. The Glock eats trigger fingers and the XD doesn't.

The XD's trigger, out of the box, is far superior. With a little work, the gap increases.

I must be weird - I do just fine with both triggers. That is why I like both brands, they have a somewhat similar single pull trigger weight that makes use of both similar, if not exactly identical, then close enough. I agree that the Glock has a quicker reset but is slightly mushier, but the XD has the longer pull and is slightly crisper.
I feel like I am in a room with a bunch of wine testers, sniffing the bouquet and all that... and I can't tell which vintage is superior... I have never had any trigger slap with any Glock though. The XD can be improved, but is workable for a service pistol for me out of the box, and the Glock, with the 3.5 trigger and 8 lb. New York module combo makes it crisper at around 5 lbs. if you desire something nicer there.

trigger slap from the glock? wow..

back to topic, i have owned both and personally i like how the xd feels compared to the glock.. the xd is just a better out of the box trigger.. as other members have said, travel and reset is shorter, but its kinda gritty..

but i have more faith in my glock, i shoot better with it, more confident with it and trust my life more with it then i did my xd.. the xd was easy to part with as i dont think i'll ever part with my glock both awesome guns! i just feel better with my glock at my side!

The one feature on glocks that I wish was on my XD: When the magazine is empty and the slide locks back on a glock, the trigger also sort of locks back. Sometimes I notice this before I notice the slide is locked back.
