Who is actually CCWing a XD45 5"?

I know many of you have tried ccwing a xd45 tactical but who has actually stuck with it and actually prefers it? I mean is it practical for you? If so, Id like to know your height and weight as well and any other info you might want to share about it.

I have a 5" BiTone that I have been carrying for almost a year in a G-Code OWB along with a G-Code OWB dual mag holder and 2 spare mags on my off side on a Wilderness 1.5" Instructor's Belt. I wear a gray light weight vest and it conceals everything with no problem. I also have a Tucker "The Answer" and although it is a great holster, I don't use it because it is just easier and more comfortable for me to use the paddle OWB. I carry the XD45 5" 24/7 and it is my preferred carry. I also have a Kimber Compact II Stainless that I can carry IWB under a T-Shirt and jeans and my wife can't even tell I have it on but I would rather carry my XD.

Oh Yeah, I'm 6'1" and 227#.

I have a 5" XD-45 that I sometimes carry as my CCW piece, but usually its my Colt/Walther combo. I'm 6'1" tall and weigh around 195 - 200. I use a Galco "Silhouette" holster. With the 5" bbl, I usually have to wear a sweatshirt or medium length jacket.

I like it.
It is practical for me.
6'2", 230
Crossbreed SuperTuck, sometimes tucked, but in cooler weather usually just as standard IWB under a jacket works for me.

I carried a Glock21 for about three years. I don't think the XD 5" is a lot larger to conceal, but maybe. I had to Mex. carry most of the time to pull it off. I'm 6' 230 and it isn't hard but you gotta be careful of reaching and bending over so as not to print. I have recently changed to an XD9SC just for the comfort factor. And as far as the ballistics arguement, let me shoot you point blank in the forehead with a 115 grain Gold dot and then argue ballistics. Shot placement guys! Gotta be good to survive. Practice, practice, practice!

Its my almost daily carry. I'm 5'10" and 190, 33" waist. I use an Answer IWB and routinely carry with just an untucked shirt and have never been made. Now I don't bend over at the waist but I don't recommend that no matter what size handgun you decide to carry.
