You probably do not need the Night Vision version, which you linked to.
That almost doubles the cost.

Handgun sight huh... If your putting it on an XD... I man I nknow they say on a good rifle, spend as much on the scope as you did on the gun (which I dont nessisarily agree with myself), but 600 buck for a 500$ gun!?!

That price was WAY out of line.. I don't see why you couldn't use it on a handgun, but most folks use them on rifles.

I have 3 EOTECH sights 2on my EBR's and one on my Masterpiece Arms 9mm Rifle.

They work great and I have not had an issue with them. They do chew through the batteries though. The Holographic on mine is selectable and it is easy to adjust. easy to zero for any weapon system and stays put.

Great for rifles I don't think I would want one on my pistol though. They are kinda large and bulky for a pistol.

Thumbs up they can be had for $300

I have 5 Eotech sights, 2 on AR's, 1 on a mini 14, and 2 on Glocks, a 36 & a 36. They all perfrom as well as anything out there that doesn't have magnification. I didn't pay over $325 for any of them so just shop around and you can find them at a better deal. 2 of mine I got for $100 each off guns in racks in pawnshops, sure they're used but that hasn't been a problem. Just walk in your local shop and if you see one mounted on a gun for sale, make em an offer, they don't usually put over $100 in them for trade in anyway and will usually part with them since the average buyer don't care about them (or have a clue what they are capable of) and prefer standard recticle scopes.
The Eotech is one of the fastest acquisitioning sights available today and one a very few that allow the shooter to shoot using both eyes open.
