You can find tons of information over on ARFcom as they debate that stuff on a weekly basis.
I have the Bushnell version, and I like it quite a bit. I bought it to give it a whirl since I had never tried one. The main difference between the Bushnell and the EOTech is the aluminum cover over the site on the EOTech. Oh, I would pop for the AAA battery model rather than the N one. I just found a supply of batteries and bought 50 or so just in case.

I checked up on the Engergizer version and here's what I got
Feature Standard size N, Energizer consumer type E90. Equivalent to ANSI/NEDA type 910A or IEC type LR1. 1.5 Volt nominal output, 1000 MilliAmpHour capacity. Max dimensions 1.189" long x 0.472" diameter. Unit weight 9.0 grams or 0.3 ounces. Zinc / Manganese Dioxide chemistry. No added Mercury or Cadmium. Long shelf life (up to 7 years). Low cost, high performance.Cost is listed as $5.95 per 3. I just purchased a gently used Eotech 552. This is the NV capable, AA battery holographic sight. I don't have experience with Bushnell but I have used an Eotech before and like it alot. The speed of target acquisition is increased and you don't need a perfect cheek weld. Also, I'd personally splurge for a sight that takes AA batteries. I consider availability (SHTF?) one of the prime considerations. Of course, if you also get the lithium AA batteries, the battery life will be even longer. If I recall correctly, I recently purchased a 48 pack of AA Energizers at one of the bulk stores (Sam's Club?) for about $15. Eotech has an adjustable setting for the brightness of the holographic sight. My understanding is that they claim that the target on the muzzle end cannot see the sight ring even when it's on the highest setting. However, in low light situations, this is not accurate. Depending on which switch you use to turn on the sight, there will be an automatic shut off at 4 hours or 8 hours. There are three switches on the rear of the sight. A "down" arrow, "up" arrow and a button for NV capability. If you turn on the sight using the "down" arrow, the sight will shut off at 4 hours; the "up" arrow at 8 hours. If you press both buttons at the same time, you can shut off the sight manually. Good luck!

dibs50 has the right info.
the AA model has lasted 14 months for me on the same set of lithium AA's. It gets turned on at least once a week for around an hour while i run a couple mags thru my FAL. Any cheek weld, any rifle hold, any speed will net you hits at <75 yards with a little practice. for instance, I shoot right handed-left shouldered during some drills I do behind cover and it works very well. the one MOA dot allows good hits 75-200 yards with a consistent cheek weld. On a good day I can get all hits on a 12x18 gong out to around 225 yards. beyond that is possible but you need to practice. you will not be disappointed but if you have any stigmatism in your eye it will take more practice to get used to it.

I prefer to use standard batts in the things I have so that way when the zombies come I'll be able to pick up batteries anywhere.
