when did the compact release

I'm getting ready to throw down the cash for a 45 comact but want no rust issues. Was the compact ever even available before the new finish or are they all now treated?

The compact was released after the finishes were all fixed. Any 45 Compact should be fine.

That is what I thought.. Now just got go down and do it... They want $530 how is that? I have seen more and less on here but the less would have to be bought online then pay ffl fees so I think it would be close.

I got mine from the first batch off the line, had it pre-ordered, I think I paid $550 or something for it. I think they're still pretty high in demand, so you might not be far off at $530 at a shop (local shops are always higher than gun shows, I see gun shows as a BONUS, not the standard in pricing. There are a lot of tables at the shows I go to where the vendor doesn't have a shop, so his costs are less.)

The crazy thing is when I went to the local gun show they wanted over $600 I think it was the same place. The shop said they were selling like crazy but said he could have one in a week. I figure hell we have a 10 day wait anyway so should be fine. Going to order next week I think.

XD prices are on the rise. here in Lincoln, $530 on a NIB compact .45 would be a good price.

$530's not bad for it, really. its an excellent weapon, and one you know you'll enjoy owning and shooting, and its reliable.

i was looking at the compact .45 xd at CC's and iirc they wanted $575 for it.
im in the market for a 1911... my XD45 purchase will be a good ways down the road.
