Mine's holding up fine, not showing much wear. Of course, I could really care less if it does, it's just a tool, and I keep it oiled. At some point, I hope it wears enough that I can send it to Birdsong for Black T.

Bought in April 06, ~2100 rounds, carried every day and abused while camping/backpacking. Finish starting to discolor just behind the ejection port on the slide. but it is not wearing off. Can be buffed about 95% out but comes back after a couple days of sweating.

Fired mine a thousand rounds. the finish on the barrel (t the part that is exposed when the slide is shut) is wearing. Like the other poster said
don't much care. The glock finish really is about the toughest thing I have seen. Tennifer is crazy tough. D

Damien in Seattle I don't list my guns - I know glocks, FALs, and AKs but I'm not sure my ability to fill a gunsafe with guns make me an expert on anything. All that you can depend on from a 45 is that it will drill a .45 - .70 inch hole about 14 inches into someone. There will not be "energy dump", people will not fly backwards, and they will not necessarily fall as if they have been struck by lighting. |

I've only had my XD for about 2 months. It's in and out of the holster at least 6-7 times a day during the week, it's had over 1,300 rds through it, plus it has been drawn/holstered several hundred other times between training classes and practice (in both the XDGear and SERPA holster). The only wear is on the moving parts so far.

I got my Tac last year and have many thousands of round threw it due to shooting IDPA six times a month plus practice. The only wear on mine is at the muzzel from holstering many thousands of times.
