Big problem at the range today with my XD45 Compact ....

I nearly wore myself out walking back and forth to change targets because it kept blowing the x-ring out every 10-15 rounds! lol

I went out today with some reloads that I put together just for plinking and was very surprised by how well my pistol performed. Here is one of the targets that I brought back...

I am pretty new to reloading. This group was done with 7 grains of HS-6 under a 230gr RNL bullet using WLP primers. OAL was 1.20. Needless to say I 'm proud of myself and my XD!

I tried some 200gr swc loaded between 7 and 7.2 grains of HS-6 but I had nothing but the old rear of the spent case hanging on the front of the cartrige below it malfuntions that alot of folks seem to have with the XD.

No matter though, my SA Trophy Match chews them up like candy so they won't go to waste. Besides why mess with a good thing? These RNL loads made me smile (even if I did have to walk alot!)

Easy fix... Buy a 9mm.

Great shooting

Sweet! Congrats on a great pistol and great shooting! Look at it this way...if you have a gym membership, dump it and use that money for range fees or ammo. With all of the exercise you are getting going back and forth, you won't need the gym.
