What do you want to see in a IWB holster?
OK I'm just thinking about making my own IWB holster(s) and while there are really great reviews of some of these holsters I want to hear what folks really want to see in their holsters.
I'm looking at all options.. Leather, Kydex, Leather/Kydex combination and even a Cordura/and something fabric + Kydex configuration. Thoughts?

Thin... it has to be thin so I don't have to buy new pants.

That's why I like the CTAC one, or at least that design. The clips are offset from the pistol. They don't add thickness.

Leather to cover the whole gun, kydex that makes it easy to reholster with one hand only, canted for easy access and to aid in concealment, adjustable since my a$$ is unique.

When it's canted all the way forward, your pants/belt are not touching any part of the gun b/c the holster comes up high enough...or it doesn't drop your gun too low.
When making it fit an XD, you need to remember to make a space for the loaded chamber indicator b/c that is up in the air. Comfortable...of course. +1 million, ready to buy from inventory. |
