Newbie Targets

What is the best paper targets for a newbie trying to hone his marksmanship on the range?

White paper plates....they're cheap and if you can put a full magazine into a paper plate consistently from 7-10 yds....you're doing well.

you can search some printable ones online and just print out as many as you like, that's what I do.

You might want to visit this thread. It has targets that will help diagnose common shooting mistakes.

beginner needs advice

Just click on the Lee Targets and they will come up in Adobe Reader. You can then print. Use these at 7-10 yards also.

View the Tod Jarrett. It is very helpful.

Letargets.com seems to have pretty decent prices.

For a beginner though, I'd just recommend some basic 50 foot rapid fire pistol targets. I like to put one of those orange dots on the center so I have a small point to aim at, but it might not be necessary if you're just trying to get good pistol shooting habits down.
