After a year with the Agrip

I don't usually recomend things until they get a work out and actually work as they are suppose to. So after a year of shooting IDPA, carrying 24/7, all under the Arizona heat I can recomend these to any one who wants to inprove the handling of their 45 Tac or any XD for that matter.

It does not catch on my clothing like other things I have tried. It works even better it seems when my hands are sweety, which was my biggest problem. I have tried everything from sand paper to the tire inner tub but they all had a short coming. It does not add any noticable width to the grip as far as I can feel.

Hopefully this will save some of you some time and money.

I won't shoot a plastic-framed pistol, unless Agrip is installed. (Unless it's not mine.)

So what does it feel like? Looks like something you'd find on a G.I. Joe's shaved head..

Hard to describe exactly what it feels like. Kind of like velvet, but not that "sissy." Really does improve one's grip when hands are wet/sweaty,etc.

When I'm carrying IWB, in a Kydex holster, the Agrip sure feels better against my skin than just plain plastic.

I'm using Agrip on my Hogue AR grip, as well as on my digital slr.

Very easy to apply, just follow the instructions. Mine makes my pistol feel soft in my hand with a kind of stick to your hand feel. Not sticky, just no movement at all when in hand. As far as trimming I just had to trim around the mag release buttons.

Check out brookstactical.com. If you phone Brooks, get ready for a looooong conversation! He's quite a character, and he sure sells a great product.

i agree; i have a-grip on all "plastic" frame pistols. it took me a long time to realize that for me -- but not all people -- the "plastic" frame pistols seem to twist or torque in my hand. i'm not sure i can really explain what seems to happen; just that some times they shoot just fine and sometimes they are all over the place. discovered a-grip and no more problems. mcole

Boricua, do you happen to have any nice close up pictures of how it fits, and the texture. I have had my .45 since january and i have been waiting on a grip solution, debating the houge, and the a grip. The a grip on line the photos leave allot to be desired. I would greatly appreciate some close up photos and one extreme close up that can convey the texture of the agrip.

Thanks. Hopefully you have a digital camera
