Question The Extractor and Chamber?

Have you inspected the Extractor and the Chamber? Can the Extractor hold an empty shell casing? any signs of damage? Is the Chamber clean?

Errrrr...you do know that this is the XD-45 forum, right?

If you're putting 9mm ammo in your .45, that may be the problem!

Cheers! M2

...and a .45 round in the 9 will DEFINITELY affect its ability to eject... hehe

we were just messin' with ya man, its all good! i was just filling space cause i can't help ya... someone will be along to help though, this is a pretty good group here... if no one can help, i would contact Springfield, not the local gun shop. there is a lot of ad info that gets spewed at gunshops...

thanks

by the way it is pulling the casing out of the chamber but it is getting cought between the slide and the barell if that makes sence it just isnt fully getting out of the gun

falier to eject casing

Try buying some pipe cleaners and scrubbing under the extractor hook periodically. I have noticed FTE on my 9, 40, and 45. A quick scrubbing will clean it right up. I think the extractor groove needs to be deeper.
