Tactical compact
I saw my first tactical compact today. A weird look. They told me its straight from Springfield as I thought they performed a frankengun. A weird combination. Felt like a no-go.

no pics?
just thinking what it would look like is enough. if i had a sub i'd probably get a grip extension, then that would just make it into a regular tac. a service would better.

If you have a 5" bbl. no matter how you cut the grip down it's not going to become a Compact handgun.

This is as far as I would go...
![]() 5" is just too big for a 'compact'.

I first bought the SA XD 45 ACP, this is a great
gun, bar none. next bought the SA XD 9mm Subcompact. I've put around 600 rounds through the 9 mm to date and at least for me is an excellent personal carry weapon.

The tactical compact is a try by Springer to keep focused on a market that isn't there.

Yea the gun was weird looking. Perhaps I take a picture of it next time. It has the 5 inch barrel on the compact lower. Just weird feeling.
