Snapped some of the XD today =P

I know it's bone stock still but it's a service weapon

I'm looking at buying an XD .40 right now for $400 with 3 hi cap mags and 3 10 rd mags. Good deal? He says it's got about 500 rds through it.

nice pictures!

You're lucky to carry your XD as a duty weapon. I hope they'll let me one day.

Why are there vertical grooves in your magazines?

Yea I Love the gun, shoots so much better than the glocks they issue But I'm sure soon enough a decent amount of dept's will allow it. As of right now it was difficult to find a nice single retention holster for duty haha

You mean the scratches or the actual indented grooves? I'm pretty sure all XD's have them?

Yes it's real, I work as a cop on an indian reservation, so it's so so, I'm not really a peace officer per say because I have no jurisdiction outside of the reservation, but while on it we have full officer duties, been through 832 training etc.

Jim-

The reason I asked about the vertical grooves is that my XD-45 does not have them. The magazine side walls are smooth. Are you carrying reduced-capacity magazines instead of the more common 13-round mags?

BTW- nice looking set of pics. Thanks for sharing!

Ahhhhh, yup, sure am, I live in nazifornia, and until I can get down to buy some hi caps for work, I'm SOL haha. That would be the reason though. And thanks for the compliment on the pictures. As stated in the original post a guy at work is selling an XD .40 and I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy it and make that the "mod" gun
