Two questions for ya........

Hi

Im not a new gun owner, but i am very new to the xd.
i bought it a couple days ago, and have not had the chance to fire it.but im aching to get down the range !!!

First i was wondering how long the 45 acp has been avalible for. i know the other calibers and 45 GAP have been around a while, but i read a review a couple of months ago about the NEW 45 ACP , and was wondering how new it was.

Second i was wondering what you recomend is the best lube to use on it for firing and cleaning. right now, i have rem oil, and clp, and some otis stuff i got from the army, which i havent tried yet. but i use the clp on my other gun and it works fine.

thanks.

It's been out for a year (last Januray). And I use CLP on all of my firearms.

Yep

Milspec works well too. The XD really dosn't require anything special. Heck you can spray it with brake cleaner as long as you oil it after. This ain't no sissy gun requiring fancy care.
