two more weeks and its mine I decided after much research that my next pistol would be an XD 45 acp in 4inch service model i found one and i put on layaway will pick up soon ive got one ? i presently use my desantis speed scabbard for my carry holster for my 1911 SA GI 45 i carry cocked @locked at all times being new to the XDS will a desantis holster work well and is there any thing else i should know your time would be much appreciated thanx

The XD-45 Service is a great handgun you made a good choice. Don't know about that holster.

Just take the new XD and give it a good cleaning apply some gun Lub. to rails and take it out and give it a good shooting.

I'm currently using a Desantis holster... Model 32, they call it a dual holster because it can be used IWB/OWB. I have a XDc 45 Service.
