Talking Another new XD-45 Tactical owner!

I've had my XD for about a week now and really like it. It's accurate, and has performed flawlessly with about 6 different ammo manufactures (@ 300 rds) using FP to JHP. I also own a Glock 19 and the XD works as flawlessly and seems as reliable.

And I do like the 5" barrel.

Anyway I'm looking forward to hanging around here to absorb as much information as I can.

Thanks for having me.

Another great choice! I have to try the Tac some day, see how it compares to my Compact.

Of all my pistols the Xd45Tactical is the one I prefer to shoot and would carry it all the time if I could do it comfortably. But my fat self has to work with the 9mm for everyday comfort. Good for you to get the Tactical

Welcome to the forum. I have to second Tactical's suggestion about the TFOs. They are great on an XD.

I am currently looking into night sights and will certainly consider TFOs. I'm continuing to gather information, and appreciate the suggestion.

Thumbs up

I’ve been out of shooting for awhile and picked it back up in the last 6 months or so. I decided to enroll in a Hand Gun 1 course at the local range to ensure my form and fundamentals are good after the long layoff and it has appeared to pay off. My groupings are much tighter, and even though I’ve only had my XD for a couple of weeks I can consistently hit the orange highlighted center mass on those silhouette targets at 25 yards. Something I haven’t been able to do consistently before. I’m quite impressed with the XD-45 and believe I can already shoot it more accurately than my Glock 19. I’m still considering a trigger job to lessen the travel but have only shot 400 rds through the gun so far and will wait until I put 1000 rds through it before I make a decision on that & have night sights added.

Anyway a job well done by Springfield Armory!
