slide question

i was looking through the photo thread for the xd's and noticed that some of you had white lettering, and in one post they stated that they havn't wipped the crayon smudges off, i'm assuming the way the lettering became white was with a standard white crayon, but my question is

does the crayon stay put or do you have to reapply.

Stays put for a pretty long while. I just heat the slide with my wifes hair dryer. Rub the crayon on, then rub off the excess. I little Armadillo on top and it stays for a very long time.

I bet if you do a search for "Crayon" on these forums you will get all the info.
