shot an XD45 yesturday.
the girl that works at the gun range i frequent has one, and offered to let me shoot it awhile back if i brought the ammo.
well last night i picked up 50 rounds of .45ACP and headed up there. that was the nicest gun i've fired yet. seriously.. i now hate my XD9 lol. well i dont hate it, but it made me decide to go ahead and sell it, and get my wife the M9 she wants, i'll start saving now for the XD45. i'm going to shoot a Baby Eagle .45 today, my friend just got it and it looks solid, cant wait lol. cheers

Some might be interested in how the Baby Eagle compares to the XD45, in regards to accuracy in your hands. I suspect the XD45 will be a little better

i'm betting your right. i was expecting a good jolt from that XD .45, but it was about like shooting my 9, only with a bit more meat to it lol.

well i went yesturday, and shot a Colt Defender .45, man thats a violent little gun to shoot. accurate as hell, but it really did hurt to shoot. deffinatly would want gloves for it.
when it came time to shoot the Baby Eagle, my friend loaded a mag in, and went to rack the slide, and it wouldnt budge. he took the gun apart partially and tried to fix it, but couldnt get it to work. while i understand **** happens, if a gun cant function out of the box as intended, i wouldnt buy it. he was upset to say the least. by fondeling did you shoot it or just handle it? i've shot a couple .45's so far, and that XD .45 is a damn dream to shoot it really is an amazing weapon imo. i shot the service model .45. while i have a hankering for a 1911, the xd .45 is my next purchase, and my wife knows this lol. oh and i'm no longer selling my 9mm, i've been waffling back and forth on the idea, and finally decided against it. i may later on when i'm ready to pick up that xd 45.. some how 9mm just isnt as fun to shoot any more lol. cheers

but if you've got nothing to do this weekend.. find someone/someplace to rent or borrow one to shoot. you will love the XD 45. i can imagine if the Service was so nice to shoot i bet the tactical is even nicer.
