Here are the exterior ballistics for a load with a Zero 230 gr JHP bullet (.188 BC) over 6.2 gr. of Ramshot True Blue chronographed at 717 FPS (20 shots). The Ameriglo night sights are about .53" above the center of the bore. Bullet drop and path in inches:
Zeroed at 25 Yards Zeroed at 10 Yards Range Drop Path Drop Path Yards Inches Inches Inches Inches 0 0 -0.53 0 -0.53 5 0.08 -0.08 0.08 -0.18 10 0.34 0.20 0.34 0 15 0.77 0.30 0.77 0.01 20 1.36 0.24 1.36 -0.16 25 2.14 0 2.14 -0.49 30 3.08 -0.41 3.08 -1 35 4.21 -1 4.21 -1.69 40 5.51 -1.77 5.51 -2.56 45 6.98 -2.71 6.98 -3.6 50 8.64 -3.84 8.64 -4.82 This would make sense; with a pistol dead on (POA/POI) at 25 yards, the bullet would be about .2" high at 10 yards. Also the bullet would only hit about 3.84" low at 50 yards. If the gun was dead on (POA/POI) at 10 yards, the bullet should hit about .49" low at 25 yards and 4.82 inches low at 50 yards. This is a slow 230 gr. JHP load and your load will make a difference, but not that much! I do not see bullet paths of 10" low until 70 yards and 67 yards for the 25 yard zero and 10 yard zero, respectively. Sorry the table will not stay aligned nor will a picture of the data paste!

Thanks - I was working on this last night without any type of reference and could not see how it could be possible. You would think they would have tried to figure out what was wrong rather than writing what they did, considering how many place the gun has been reviewed.

I have a 4" compact 45 and it shoots point of aim out to 25 yards. I dont shoot from a rest but i can hit the center cirle of a standard IDPA target at 25 yards with out much trouble. The round doesn't seem to have a major drop at that range

I reload. I use 180 gr. bullets, bullseye powder. Don't really have to change my sight picture much at all between 7 and 25 yards... Definitely not by a foot!
