galco, holsters

anyone have one of their products for the xd 45 service? i have been obsessed with shoulder holsters since i can remember, and i'm thinking about getting one of theirs the miami classic II in black, this is not a ccw holster, it will be for wearing on the range and what have you. i'm not fond of waist level holsters, i seem to get my clothes stuck in them while holstering the pistol.

I have a few of their prodcuts and have been happy with them, No shoulder holsters though. My dad has a shoulder holser for his Sig from Galco and loves it, It has gotten some use out of it over the past couple of years and had held up great.

I have a Galco Concealable holster for my HK USP Compact 40. I am very happy with it. Good quality and it has held up for the 8 years that I've used it.

As far as their shoulder holsters go, I'm sure they are fine. The US military certainly likes them. Any time you see a General or other officer on TV with their Berettas in a shoulder holster, it's a Galco.

Well, I've been wearing hip holsters for about 10 yrs. now as an LEO and of course I'm used to them, and they're actually faster to draw from and get on target with than shoulder holsters. However, I've also been obsessed with getting the Galco Miami Classic Shoulder hoslter too!

They're just so dang expensive.....

only things i've seen mentioned is some people wished they had a tether to secure the holster to a belt to aid in drawing. i dont know though i've never worn one.

I have a Galco Concealable for my XD45. I've owned them for several other guns as well. Though the leather isn't quite on par with some of the high holster makers, they still make a quality product...even if it is mass produced.

I have the Galco Silouhette for both my 9 and 45 service. I love it. Tight to the body, solid retention, and easy to draw.

I would highly recommend.

I have a Galco Royal Guard for a Glock I carry all the time. It is a GREAT inside the pant holster. I am thinking of buying an XD 45 Compact, I wish Galco would make one of these holsters to fit that gun so I will not have to change holsters when I change guns.

I've also been thinking seriously about getting the Miami Classic shoulder holster. Has anyone used it before, and if so - do you find you need to secure it to your belt? For my size and weight 5'11 150, the shoulder holster is probably the only way to go with me, and even thats stretching it since I'm so scrawny! haha
