The baby came home today and she's beautiful. Looks a lot better in my house than the gunshop. Next stop, the range so I can see for myself what all you guys been saying about the xd. Looking forward to adding to the good news !!

Way to go JC!! I just picked up one last Saturday. Can't wait to go to the range this weekend.

Here in North Carolina you have to apply for a pistol permit at the sheriff's office. The waiting period is 5 business days, you can get up to 10 at a time, and they are good for five years. But once you have those permits you can go anywhere and buy a handgun. One permit per hand gun.

Back in November, I bought a XD-45 service for me and an XD-9 Service model for my wife. I can't express how proud we are of our decision to buy these exceptional weapons.

By the way, we live in Kansas, one of the newest CCW states. In and out of the Gun Shop with guns in hand... 20 minutes.

Hey Joe,

This forum sure is full of great info about xd's but I've also learned there are some real creative legislators out there with all the different gun laws from state to state. Holy crap !!! 10 day wait here, no wait there, 5 days in between. They must have of ton of time on there hands. Just glad I've got something to take to the range during the next waiting period!!

Definately looking forward to the range this week. I'd like to get in some idpa events as soon as the weather breaks here in New England and really get some time in with this firearm.
