I know that this has been touched on before in other areas, however for my next purchace for '07 I would like an XD .45ACP Tactical in the Dark Earth.

Is there a reason that these are not readily availible and harder to find?
As well what can I expect to find ofr prices?

All I see in the tactical are the dark earth and black versions. They are both readilly available on the internet. Do a search on google with the springfield model number. You should see at least 3-4 sites with them listed in stock.

I am never too excited about odering something like that over the internet. i would rather just have my FFL gunshop do the ordering then if there is a problem, I know where to go to.

well then just go down to you neighbor hood corner FFL and ask for a price

Are you able to attend gun shows in your area? I've seen them here in VA for less than $500 at shows.

For those of you who don't know, the Indy 1500 is this weekend in Indianapolis. From what I've heard, it's like the 3rd largest in the US behind Knob Creek and another in Vegas. I know I'll be there!

Try Whittaker Guns, they have been very good to deal with . Good service, good prices, and prompt delivery.

I am going to a show in a couple weeks. There are not alot of opportunities for shows and not as many vendors as in some of the larger metro areas.
I have my "dealer" looking in to it. He is the one I have purchased many guns from so I trust him. However, because this is a harder to find gun, I do not want to be overcharged/pay too much.

I see they have them for $509.00. That is probably the better price I have seen.
