Thumbs up Range trip #2 with my XD

I took my new XD 45 ACP Tactical to the range for the second time since I purchased it. All I can say is WOW! On my first trip I was shooting a little low and left. I thought it might be the gun. Apparently not! I must have been jerking the gun. I put 100 rounds right through the center completely removing all of the paper at 15 yards! Well that was the highlight of my day because I then decided to move the target to 25 yards and try and shoot one handed. Let's just say I need some practice. The next 200 rounds went smooth. No FTF's and I have 500 rounds through it. I am very impressed with the XD 45 Tact. Springfield has a winner here!

I have noticed a lot of comments about shots being to the left when somone first breaks in thier new XD. My experience was the same with my XD 45 and I had to work on it for a few trips to the range but its a sweet shooter now.....and my favorite to shoot

+1 I shot left at first and was convinced I needed to move my rear sight! I even dinged the rear blade trying to hammer it over. I am glad she did not move because low and behold the next day out with it I was dead on.

Now I can get 2" groups at 25 yards with it.

I had a Hogue grip sleeve on for a while and I was pulling to the right because I just wasn't getting enough of the trigger. I took it off, and now I have over corrected to the left. By the end of today's session, I was moving back toward the center. I really think it's a trigger control issue.
