You might be on to something there. He might have not killed the BG, but at least he kept the BG from shooting at him.

I carry my XD45 ACP Tactical, in a SuperTuck from CB. Very comfortable, easy to hide, easy to draw, and easy to reholster.

Looking for an HDR*, either an AR-180B, or Kel-Tec FBR.

HDR, Homeland Defense Rifle

Yeah, Neandertals were not in the plans of whoever designed the 9mm round.

God designed the 9mm round. And since enough American christians say evolution doesn't exist, then it must be that God designed the 9mm round specifically for man, not beast. For beast He designed the 12ga. And so it is written. Amen.

aaaahhhhhh---rrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighty-----------then............

+10000000

Good thing my soft body armor is rated for both.. and then some.

The fact of any shooting is shot placement.. shoot to kill, no matter the caliber.

I would imagine a Speer Gold Dot, Remington Golden Sabre, Federal HST in 9 mil would penetrate this guy's skull if it hit him dead on. A lot of freak things happen in shootings. A lot of people have been taken out with a 9 millimeter round. There are plenty of cases of people being hit with .45's and not going down. I think it's a crap shoot. There's no guaranteeing anything in a shooting, but in most cases, if you shoot somebody with anything, they'll stop bothering you.

Apparently, even human skulls, bones and teeth are occasionally enough to stop them.

http://www.snopes.com/photos/military/teeth.asp

This sergeant was shot in the face just below the nose (from a distance of a few feet mind you) and all he lost was some skin and a tooth.

Should've used JHP rounds.

I think this is one of those "one in a million" cases.

Gaming ammo and weird incidents

My dad was a paramedic for many years and told me of a shooting in a bar. at about three feet a guy was shot with a .38 special in the forehead with a 158 gr jhp. It went in on the forehead and followed the skull around and lodged in the base of the neck and never came out, and the guy lived.

Now, do not jump all around on this next info, it is just my opinion from many years of knowing law enforcement and shooting incident attorneys.

IF AT ALL COST, DO NOT CARRY SELF MADE AMMUNITION FOR SELF DEFENSE !!

You do not want a life depending on any of our reloading abilities, and no matter what happens, a good attorney will hang you out to dry if you shoot someone with home made ammo.

IMHO

Good Luck !
