Cleaning your sights
This probably sounds a bit stupid but how does everyone else clean their front sight? I never had this problem with my XD-9 or any of my previous pistols. WWB from Wal-Mart leaves about an inch back from the muzzle very dirty on the slide and it accumulates down inside the groove over the white dot. I tried using a cotton swap q-tip but it didn't clean it. I also tried a small brush and it started to scrape the white paint off. So I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

I usually cram a Q-tip down there covered with solvent. If the sight gets scraped or dirty beyond repair, just get a little white-out on a small paint brush and apply it to your dot. When that gets too dirty, just scrape it out and apply another dot. That's what I've done.

In that case I recommend XS Sights.

do what i did
i had the same problem so i went and bought the gunscrubber by birchwood and spray the sight and it got clean it will be that easy just put the straw right in the sight but make sure you remove the slide from the gun first because if the scrubber touches any polymer it will damage it if not clean immediately it will leave a white stain and we don't want that.

Break-free Powder Blast will clean them nicely. I've had mine pretty fouled from an afternoon of shooting and a quick spray cleans them right back to a crisp white.
