One other thought.....I used some Mothers brand mag polish and rubbed my XD bi-tone service 9mm to a smooth chrome looking finish. It looks great but it took a few hours of hand rubbing to complete. You can use a Q-tip to concentrate the pressure on the scratched area. I don't know why or how the polish works.....I just know that it does.
